Our store has a large selection of what we like to refer to as ‘Previously Enjoyed Jewelry’ or Estate. Someone loved a piece of jewelry enough to buy it for themselves or a loved one. There is great value in the Estate market, as it would cost sometimes 3 or 4 times more to re-produce a piece at today’s market costs. Gold at around $1200.00 to 1300.00 is much higher than it was 10 – 15 years ago. Labor costs are higher as are the components used to create the entire piece.
Estate Jewelry can start as low as $25.00 for a sterling pair of earrings or a ring, and go up to many thousands of dollars.
Our clients have used our services to sell pieces they no longer wish to own, inherited and do not like, or pieces they wish to dispose of quickly. Stones can be popped out of metal, sold to stone dealers and the metal refined for cash. If a client desires to sell their jewelry, we will be happy to consign the pieces to sell for them. An Evaluation, by a certified appraiser, will be done on each piece for the cost of $35.00 per piece. Bulk pricing is available on a per person basis. Auctions and these clients are the sources of our Estate Jewelry supply. People inherit pieces they do not like or are too fancy for them. If it is a signed piece (ie. Cartier, Tiffany, Van Cleef & Arpels, etc.) we will find a dealer to purchase it outright, as the signed pieces (many times) are worth more than the intrinsic value of the parts.
Go ahead, go to the bank, and pull out those forgotten or unloved pieces – bring them to us to give them a new life or a new home!
